(Santa Ana, CA) - The County’s Executive Officer, legislative advocate and department heads will provide their perspectives on the 2004-05 budget at the County of Orange’s ninth community budget workshop set for 9 a.m., May 28 at the Hall of Administration at Santa Ana Blvd. and Broadway in Santa Ana.
Scott Baugh, Sacramento legislative advocate for the County, will discuss insights into political environment that produced the current State budget. CEO James Ruth will provide an overview of the nexus between the State’s financial problems and the impacts on County-run programs. Chief Probation Officer Stephanie Lewis and Health Care Agency Director Juliette Poulson will provide specifics about the effect on their programs from State reductions.
Budget staff will explain the development of the County budget and will have budget workbooks available for the public.
