(Santa Ana, CA) – Board of Supervisors Chairman John M.W. Moorlach announced today the official launch for a new web site that is primarily focused on life events that cause residents to look for information or request services. This is the first phase of comprehensive web site re-design that will include most County agencies and departments later this year.
The new design easily connects the community with online services by gathering information according to significant life events that commonly occur, such as starting a business or having a baby. Everyday life events are sorted into nine categories on the new site. The categories are: Services, Government, Residents, Business, Visitor, Health, Law, Emergency and Info OC.
This new organization is quickly comprehended and easily navigated, offering effective and immediate information to residents and business owners. For instance, the business section of the new site provides a range of information from the initial steps of starting a business to permits to tax information. Although these varied services are provided by different government agencies, they are now grouped together in one, convenient location.
“Our new web site helps us serve our community better by focusing on the questions that arise in everyday life,” said Board Chairman John M.W. Moorlach. “Now our residents can find the information and services they need without having to be savvy on how government is structured. This is a good example of how Orange County uses Information Technology to enhance the delivery of services to our constituents.
