OCTA Swears In Supervisor Janet Nguyen and Other Directors

(Santa Ana) — Supervisor Janet Nguyen was once again sworn in as a Director to the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). Garden Grove Mayor Bill Dalton was sworn in as a new Director for the seat vacated by former Garden Grove Mayor Pro Tem Mark Rosen and Director Peter Buffa was elected Chairman.

Chairman Buffa has been a board member since 2005, and is a former Costa Mesa City Councilman. Supervisor Janet Nguyen also serves as Chair of the OCTA Transit Committee.

“I look forward to serving on the OCTA Board as we face several challenges presented to us with the state of the current economy,” Supervisor Nguyen said. “It’s important for this Board to act responsibly to serve the people of this county well and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to represent and serve, not only the people of the First District, but all those who use the services of OCTA countywide.”
