County Community Service Center Offers Free Flu Vaccines
(Santa Ana) Supported by First District Supervisor Janet Nguyen, the County Community Service Center, located at 15460 Magnolia Street in Westminster, (Magnolia/McFadden) will offer free flu vaccines to high risk individuals on Thursday, October 30, 2008 from noon to 3 p.m. The free flu vaccine is available to:
All children 6 months to 49 months old.
Anyone 50 years of age or older.
Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant this flu season.
Children on aspirin therapy up to age 18.
People of any age if the following risk factors are present:
Chronic medical conditions including diabetes and asthma (except high blood pressure).
Conditions that can affect respiratory function, such as swallowing.
Problems with the immune system caused by disease or medication.
Anyone who lives in the same house or is a caregiver for someone with any of the risk factors listed above.
Anyone meeting one or more of these risk factors is encouraged to get a flu shot. For additional information, please call (714) 889-4105.
