The agencies and departments included in OC Infrastructure touch the lives of thousands of people each day and make our communities better places to live. By helping to maintain public safety, providing recreational and learning opportunities, assisting individuals and families in need and supporting the democratic process, these departments are vital to the efforts of County government:
OC Community Resources: The Board of Supervisors approved the creation of OC Community Resources in 2008. The department includes the divisions of OC Animal Care, OC Community Services, OC Parks and OC Public Libraries.
Probation: The Probation Department is a criminal justice agency that focuses on the supervision of adult and juvenile offenders who are charged with or convicted of crimes.
Registrar of Voters: By State mandate and County organization, the Registrar of Voters is the primary election service provider and sole voter registration custodian for the citizens of Orange County.
Social Services Agency: The Social Services Agency is responsible for planning, implementing, and operating many of the social services programs provided by the County of Orange. These programs include child welfare services, adult protective services, CalWORKs, Medi-Cal, and many more.
