Information contained in the County's Annual Volunteer Utilization Report has been gathered from 79 survey responses submitted by 19 agencies and departments and several Board offices. The report highlights the noteworthy contributions of 37,910 volunteers, including student interns and reserves, who accumulated 885,416 hours of service during Fiscal Year 2011/12. The value of their efforts is an estimated $22 million dollars in avoided costs for Orange County government.
