Approximately 1000 people attended the 6th Annual South County Senior Summit on February 22, 2013 in Laguna Woods Village. The participants had the opportunity to visit with over 40 exbibitors and listen to presentations on veteran services, social media, and elder abuse prevention and financial scams.
Speakers included Alicia Zach, Dr. Bonnie Olsen, Carol Mitchell, Julie Schoen, and Tony Rackauckas. The presentations are now available on the South County Senior Summit events page.
Supervisor Pat Bates unveiled a new veterans resource directory that is available by download or from the Office on Aging at 1-800-510-2020.
The event was hosted by Supervisor Bates, Office on Aging, Age Well Senior Services, and Laguna Woods Village.
