A Welcome Message From Lisa A. Bartlett

Dear Friends,

Welcome to my home page. I am honored and privileged to represent the Fabulous Fifth District of Orange County, the sixth largest County in the United States of America.

This page is designed to provide you with a convenient means to learn about the current issues I am working on, as well as an opportunity to contact me directly with any questions or comments you may have.

The Fifth District encompasses the South County Cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, the community of Shady Canyon in the City of Irvine, as well as the unincorporated communities of Coto de Caza, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, Rancho Mission Viejo, and Wagon Wheel.

Being home to well over 600,000 residents, the Fifth District is also the second largest Orange County District in total area – covering 276 square miles. Being so large, the Fifth District has a fascinating and diverse make up of communities. In addition to being abundantly rich in natural history, it is home to 28 miles of scenic coastline, over 35 square miles of County Parks, and over 46 square miles of National Forest.

As I reflect on my first year on the Board of Supervisors I am reminded of the vision that will lead the County into the coming years. “We strive to be a high quality model governmental agency that delivers services to the community in ways that demonstrate: Excellence, Leadership, Stewardship and Innovation.” The County is dedicated to excellence with multiple agencies earning statewide recognition. This year the County has ushered in new leadership with Frank Kim as County Executive Officer and Barry Rondinella as the new Airport Director. Frank has made a smooth transition with his 20 years of experience at the County level. I look forward to working with Barry in his new role!

My legislative priorities include: preserving and protecting the quality of life we enjoy as residents of this great county, working to expedite implementation of transportation projects to relieve traffic congestion, making sure your tax dollars are spent wisely, and being responsive to constituent concerns.

In addition to the County Board of Supervisors, I represent the County on various committees and commissions. To view a current list of my appointments click here. I strive to keep you updated on what is happening in the Fifth District. To receive regular updates please subscribe to my newsletter here, add me to Twitter @OCSupBartlett and Facebook @SupervisorLisaBartlett. Click here for the bio page.

As always, my door is open for you.

Thank you for choosing me to serve as your Fifth District Supervisor!
