A County of Orange initiative that provides services for justice-involved individuals to successfully reenter society and work toward self sufficiency.
OC Cares is a countywide initiative addressing the needs of our residents and accessibility to services and programs. The initiative strives to address the current and possible underlying needs of individuals involved in any of the county’s five systems of care (behavioral health, healthcare, community corrections, housing, or benefits and support services) and includes coordinated care management, linkages to programs and services, and assistance with job readiness and employment.

The five Systems of Care are linked through OC Cares to provide full care coordination and services for justice-involved individuals to successfully reenter society and work towards self-sufficiency.
Behavioral Health | |

Housing | |
The continuum of housing needs spans from emergency shelter to transitional to permanent (with or without supportive services). Reentry Partnerships
ORANGE COUNTY CRIMINAL JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL (OCCJCC)
The OCCJCC's mission is to improve public safety on behalf of Orange County residents, through greater inter-agency communication, coordination and collaboration regarding law enforcement and administration or justice issues.
The Mission will be accomplished by improved:
- Utilization of resources and balance within the criminal justice system.
- Synergy of ideas and expertise among criminal justice professionals.
- Public confidence in the Orange County Criminal Justice System.

ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS PARTNERSHIP (CCP)
The mission of CCP is to enhance public safety by holding offenders accountable and reducing recidivism by utilizing fiscally responsible, quantifiable, evidenced based and promising practices that support victims and community restoration.
ORANGE COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ADVISORY BOARD (BHAB)
The purpose of the Behavioral Health Advisory Board is to:
- Advise the Board of Supervisors and the Behavioral Health Director on all aspects of local mental health and SUD programs.
- Advocate for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and SUD.
- Review programs and services within the local behavioral health system.
ORANGE COUNTY JUVENILE JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL (OCJJCC)
The Orange County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council assists the Chief Probation Officer in developing a comprehensive, multi-agency juvenile justice plan to develop a continuum of responses for the prevention, intervention, supervision, treatment and incarceration of juvenile offenders, in accordance with Welfare and Institutions Code Section 749.22 and Government Code Section 30061.
