SANTA ANA, Calif. (October 26, 2022) – The County of Orange (County), in partnership with the Orange County Workforce Development Board (OCWDB) and the California Employers Association (CEA), is now offering Human Resources (HR) trainings for employers in person in addition to online at no cost.
Since July 2021, the County has offered free monthly webinars on a wide range of HR topics and will continue to have this option available for employers. Examples of online and in-person trainings include Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors and Harassment Prevention Training for Employees, both of which are required by California law (SB 1343) for employers with five (5) or more employees. Required HR trainings normally cost employers hundreds or sometimes over a thousand dollars each depending on the number of employees. However, the Orange County Board of Supervisors and OCWDB have partnered to provide a no-cost option for Orange County’s business community.
