OC Human Trafficking Task Force Hosting Awareness Event

Fullerton, Calif. (January 13, 2023) — The Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force is hosting an awareness event at California State University, Fullerton to educate school age youth in an effort to increase prevention of human trafficking and child exploitation, and support survivors of human trafficking. Among the day’s speakers will be Oree Freeman, a survivor advocate and motivational speaker who will share her story with the students, families and community members in attendance.

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Titan Student Union, California State University, Fullerton, 800 N. State College Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92831


Members of the media are invited to attend and learn more about preventing children from becoming victims of human trafficking and exploitation.

  • More than 30 organizations, including Children’s Health of Orange County, the Orange County Department of Education, Vanguard University, Higher Ground, the Raise Foundation, Waymakers, Orange County Transportation Authority, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the Irvine Police Department, the Santa Ana Police Department, California Highway Patrol, the Salvation Army, the Orangewood Foundation and more

Educational and resource materials will be provided in multiple languages.
